Deadpool

Deadpool

This is the best apology that FOX can do for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. This is a fantastic change of pace for Marvel movies to take in this day and age. Fun Fact: I saw this the day it came out with my best friend and the next day, everyone just despised me. That should be a testament to how much this movie was hyped.

The Story - 9/10

The story is surprisingly close to the deadpool origin story. Wade Wilson is a mercenary has a good gig going on. He then falls in love with a girl who he is engaged to, then he gets diagnosed with terminal cancer. Then a secret organisation recruits him for a mutant weapon program. Then the sadistic doctor makes him a walking tumour. Then the facility burns down (a la V for Vendetta style)
and he goes on a warpath. This is a typical revenge story but is still done in a very entertaining way.

The Characters - 9.5/10

Ryan Reynolds plays Deadpool once again and he just 'owns' it. He is bad mouthed, complete wiseass, cynical and funny as hell. He steals the show in every little frame he is in. The jokes
that he uses in this movie are extremely crude and dirty, but in a Deadpool way. It isn't like toilet
jokes and gratuitous swearing, but Deadpool humour. Also the 4th wall is non existent in this movie.
He is also sympathetic when he becomes a walking tumour and finds his old girlfriend. He is battling between saying hello in his condition, while everyone is going "you are one ugly motha%$^&!" and "Damn, you ugly!". This really hits you in a dark place.

Colossus is in this as well and while he is fully motion capture, he fits in the movie surprisingly well.
He is a very nice guy who is trying to recruit Deadpool into the X-Men. Also this and Negasonic Teenage Warhead are the only X-Men you will see (which is a shame but in the end is quite funny).

Negasonic Teenage Warhead is quite an anxty teenage type character and brings a lot of sarcastic teenage humour into this movie. But when she needs to be badass and awesome, she is badass and awesome in a Negasonic way.

The Action - 10/10

The action in this movie is filled with gratuitous violence and amputations. Like Deadpool decapitates someone and kicks the head into someone. That is the type of violence you would want
Deadpool to partake in. It is fun, hilarious, engaging and will make even the most serious person on the planet giddy as a kid.

I know I have been vague in a few ways but thats because I want you to see Deadpool to enjoy it (also fill in the gaps). This is easily my favourite Marvel movie ever. But before watching Deadpool, make sure to wear red and black and get a raspberry and coke Frozone.

Deadpool gets a 9.5/10

I don't own any of these pictures. Deadpool is owned by Fox Searchlight Pictures, Marvel Entertainment, Kingberg Genre and The Donner's Company.

I am sorry that i have been away for a long time.
